married to an anesthesiologist when....
1. Your spouse analyzes your spine making comments about how easy or hard it would be to put an epidural or spinal in
2. You are trying to tell your spouse about your day and you realize he/she is looking at your neck like a juicy steak because he can see your artery...a perfect location to place a line.
3. You ask your spouse a medical question about you or one of your kids and you get a "it could be...." answer.
4. You never worry about emergency room trips for stitches or falls because, he can knock you out, numb it, and stitch it all at the house....seriously.
5. Dehydration? No prob, he can place an IV at home too.
6. He starts playing the "I bet I can locate a hard to find vessel" game while your sitting on the couch
7. Even though your spouse is home by 3:30 pm, he's still put in a 9-10 hour day
8. Chills go up his/her spine every time they even think about having to run a clinic/office
9. When dosing medicine for the kids, he asks "how many kilos does she weigh?" (what???? Oh yea right, like I can answer that!)
10. You can easily find out about his/her day if you know the height, weight of his patients and/or the surgeon(s) he worked with that day.
You know I love you babe :)!

Lots of that sounded familiar growing up in a medical family. Not so much the kilos, but the location of vessels, tending to medical needs at home, etc.
Can TOTALLY relate to #4! But the rest?? Well, lets just say Kyle salivates when a kid has a possible broken bone. So far, we have had none by some miracle, but when that day comes Daddy is ready.
Try being married to an ObGyn...hee hee!
