As always I'm a bit teary eyed as I write this. As each one of our girl's birthdays approaches, I become a bit nostalgic. I reflect on the year gone by and anticipate what the year ahead will bring. The first birthday, I've found, often brings more emotions than the others. Perhaps it is because when October 19, 2007 came around last year I held a little 7lb 11oz bundle of complete joy in my arms. This day I'm holding a 20 pound stair climb'n, squealing, wiggling, bundle of energy in my arms. Where does the year go? Molly Kate has encountered unrelenting kisses, hugs, and goofy behavior from all of us.
Molly, I love the fact that you can't wait for your food and that you already stand up for your rights. Most of all I love how you seem to balance it all by squealing and wiggling with complete joy when your daddy or sisters walk into the room and how you press your cheek against my lips when I'm holding you to receive my endless supply of kisses. Your cheeks are a soft, mushy heaven words could never describe. God knew you would make our little "Burlison" family puzzle complete. What a gift it has been to watch your first smile, first bites of food, first teeth poke through, first giggle, first clap and so on. We look forward to watching another year of many "firsts" and seeing that sweet personality of yours continue to evolve. I am honored to be your mother and completely humbled by the trust God has placed in us to raise you and your sisters.

Hey Court! I intended on doing this yesterday, but we were out of town all day. I hope Molly Kate had a beautiful birthday. I can't believe she is ONE! I can remember you bringing her to gym for the first time and Julianna and I fighting over her constantly!!! Wow! I'm so happy to be your friend so that I can join in to watch your beautiful girls grow. Happy Birthday, Molly! We love you!!!
Happy Birthday Molly! I can't wait to see what the next year brings! Love - Joe and Keely
