That is...parental guidance recommended......

I won't post a frontal picture of Addy, because if I did CPS just might think we need to be investigated. As of right now she has a bruise/knot on her forehead, a scratch down her cheek paired with an abrasion on her chin and a bruised arm....all from separate incidents. Addy is our little girl with a big personality. She runs forward looking backward, she climbs when she has no business doing so, and she quietly gets herself into unexplainable predicaments. She is very determined and self-motivated. Needless to say, she keeps all of us on our toes.

We went to a 4th of July party in the neighborhood. We had been swimming at the pool earlier and before dinner we brought the girls home to get cleaned up in preparation for the fireworks not realizing there was going to be a water slide at the evening bash. Well, we got there and Addy immediately set her sights on that slide while Mary Ella wanted to do the batting cage with the pink bat and pink ball. It became very clear that distraction techniques were not going to work with Addy and that we were going to have to get far away from that slide since we did not have her bathing suit with us. Mary Ella was finishing up her batting practice and we turned around to Addy dropping her skirt in preparation to go down that slide. Yes, she was undressing people! And yes, on any given day, if you should drop by our home, she just might be naked....so it is normal (at home).

Then in the following days Mary Ella began using the word, "butt" No, not a "bad" word, but not "great" one either. Well, Addy caught on wiggling that little bottom saying, "my butt, my butt, my butt". Oh my word, I wonder if she is doing this at school????? So, of course I attempt to explain to this two year old that she was not using a "nice" word. What did I get in response? Well, for a week now this is what is coming out of her mouth...

"Myyyyy...... buuuuu"
"Myyyyy..... booty"
"Myyyyy...... bala"
"Myyyyy...... booga"

To say this kid is testing boundaries would be an understatement. She pairs these little teasers with a grin of , "I know you think you know what I'm about to say...but you don't!"

The kiddos are going to a little day camp at a local preschool here and have been having a good time. Yesterday, I asked Addy, "Are you ready to go to school and see Stormy (her teacher)?"

She responded with that signature grin and said, "Noooooo, I wanna see CeCe and Nita" She is referring to her teachers in League City. If you are reading this....know that you are missed!

So...what you are saying is that Addy has your personality? It's true. We reap what we sow. Strong personalities are wonderful!

I am laughing so hard! Sounds like Addy and Avery need to get together. Funny how God give us one that is guaranteed to humble us as parents, huh? I love the 4th of July pics too...matching swimsuits are so fun!
Hope y'all are adjusting well to your new home!
