Ten years ago.....
1. I didn't know there were bills for water and garbage
2. We paid $140/month for a PPO
3. I didn't know what it meant to "bargain shop"
4. I had never paid a dime for my own gas or car insurance
5. I couldn't cook anything but noodles, rice, and desserts
6. I was a horrible housekeeper
7. We lived on a budget of $1500/month
8. I "decorated" our condo like a college dorm room
9. I didn't appreciate a well-organized grocery store with good customer service
10. I didn't know what "give and take" really meant
Yes, Scott and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary on May 16th. It has really been 10 years (sorry, I just had to say it again, because it is hard for me to believe). We celebrated by taking our girls to Chili's, yes, Chili's, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. We shared this milestone witnessing our girls diving into corn dogs and french fries...loving every minute of it. I sat there and thought, who woulda ever thought this is where we'd be? We are so blessed and humbled by the gifts and moments we've been given during our last 14 years together.
I am so proud to call him my husband, the father of our three girls and most of all my best friend. So here's to 10 more years. I believe at that point our oldest will be 14 (almost 15)....I think I'll stay in denial about that a while longer. After all, I've got 10 years to get used to that idea.

A little over 10 years ago, my sister called to say she was getting married. Being slightly over-protective, I was concerned about the decision. But, I had met and instantly liked Scott which alleviated most of the anxiety.
Today, I am in awe of Scott and Courtney. Their ability to compromise and work together in the face of challenging circumstances is a beautiful dance to watch. I am very proud of them.
Here's to your marriage and the next 10 years!
Well said, Robin.
Congrats, you two. Here's to another 10+ years of happy times.
I'd love to go to Chili's to celebrate anything.! There is not a Chili's in Montana. Happy Anniversary! You've accomplished so much in just ten years, to God's Glory!
