Alright, I'll play...

My friend, Jeanine, tagged me. Read on...

The Rules: 1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts. 2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. 3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (**if you’re a non-blogger, you can email them!) 4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. 5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. I have an ideal "coffee experience" I fantasize about: Sitting in cool (not cold), crisp mountain air on a porch with a Soy Latte from Starbucks.

2. Upon completion of residency, it is not the bigger house or time for vacation I'm looking forward to...it is being able to stop at Sonic or Starbucks for a treat without feeling guilty about it.....I know, Scott says I'll be easy to please.

3. I spend more on the children's shoes than I do my own....Thank goodness flip flops are acceptable 9/12 months down here!

4. The last movie I saw in the theater was.....Anchorman...Pathetic, I know.

5. I usually keep cookie dough in the refrigerator and after the kiddos go to sleep, I eat a couple of hot cookies with some milk. I'm waiting for the question, "why does it always smell like cookies after we go to bed?" I've done this since college. Oreos do the trick too.

6. I have been able to smell body oil during my last two pregnancies. This does not make going to Walmart very fun. I have been able to smell people from the next aisle over. Thankfully, this goes away as soon as I deliver.

7. Speaking of Walmart, or any other store. One of my bigger pet peeves is when people don't put their carts up in one of the 20-30 collection sites in the parking lot. This, along with people who deliberately litter, really bother me.

8. When each of our kiddos has begun kicking in the middle of the night, I have put my belly up against Scott's back so he can experience it too. These have been such sweet moments.

OK, so who is tagged??? Well, Jeanine knows the bloggers I know. I'll tag my brother Robin, Jillian (you need to be blogging anyways), Katharine (I know yours is private, but you'd be good at this one), Keely, Kristy, Stephanie J., Jennifer V., and Kristin G. These are people I know who read this. Put your eight things on your blog, an email or in the comments section...you don't have to sign in or leave your last name if privacy is a concern. If you are not tagged, leave your "eight" in the comments section anyways. It would be fun to read them.

A look in the mirror for 8 facts that I'm willing to admit to ....gee, that's hard.

1. I'm stubbornly independent.
2. I have found that it is physically impossible for me to keep my mouth shut.
3. I'm opinionated, which clashes badly with #2. I justify that bad characteristic by acknowledging it.
4. I believe in the Golden Rule and treating people with respect.
5. I hope that I can one day be as good of a person as my grandparents are/have been.
6. I still hug/kiss my parents and hold hands with them.
7. My dog is my child.
8. The older I get, the more I realize, that I AM just like my mom, and that's okay with me.

I still love that you say "body oils" instead of body ODOR. OK- I will try....

1. I am geographically challenged- I still struggle with my left and right.
2. I am horrible at history.
3. In reference to history...I could not understand why my friend waited in line so long to see the Dead Sea Squirrels. (hate to admit that one.)
4. I can't blog because that would mean I would have to learn to use the digital camera and scan pictures.
5. When I remove the kitchen trash bag (and before I take it to the garage) if anyone puts trash in the new bag I will remove it and put it in the old bag before I take it out. (crazy!)
6. I mix up sayings ALL the time- last night I said "that threw me for a curve ball". Keeps my hubby laughing.
7. My first and last concert I went to was Richard Marx at Six flags.
8. My sister's husband's brother's wife is my sister-in-law.

Sad I could go on forever....you know most of the rest! Poor you!

Oh that was too funny!
Amen on the Sonic and Starbucks and let me tell you, my friend, it is wonderful!

Jillian, when are you going to start blogging??? Do you feel the peer pressure building???

I secretly love these things (does that count as one of the 8 facts?)

1. I wish I still played the cello
2. The tips of both my middle fingers curve off to the right and left respectively
3. My father's name is James and his siblings names are David and Amy. My boyfriend's name is James and he has two brothers, David and Andy. Luckily the name thing is the only thing they have in common.
4. Being a Southerner in the North fits my lifestyle perfectly. I never want to leave Boston, but if I do it will be to go to New York or Germany.
5. A decision I made in the 7th grade will most likely influence my future career - to learn German. My favorite word in any language is Gluehwuermchen "lightning bug" in German.
6. I dislike pet names almost entirely save one that I had never heard before James: Baber -- English folks are weird, but I like it.
7. I keep a tidy house but sloppy room
8. My two favorite foods are cheese and ice cream. And I have high cholesterol. Life cracks me up.

Y'all are so funny and good sports!

Jillian-Remind me to tell you what I thought the Dead Sea Scrolls were...I'm horrible at history too.

Keely- opinionated? I think we all come by that honestly.

Kristin- Don't rub it in that you like Boston so much. We still would like to think you *may* come back down here one day :).

Others join in the fun! I love reading these things. By the way, I just got back from Walmart and saw a lady leave her buggy right next to her car. She was one parking space over from a "buggy site" (I don't know why this gets under my skin) GRRRR! Love to all.

This is Stephanie. I don't have an account, so I will have to sign in as anonymous.

OK... you know, the sure way to get people to respond is to call them out by name in your blog!

1. I am addicted to reality TV (seriously everything from Big Brother to Rock of Love to Hell's Kitchen)... Thank goodness for TiVo.

2. I have a thing where I need to know how a movie/book ends from the beginning. I read the last chapter of everything right after I read the first chapter. I even read the epilogue of Harry Potter first.

3. I use the Internet to diagnose my 'ailments'. I think I know just enough to make me dangerous... Thank goodness my doctor is my friend and she can tell me I'm not afflicted with whatever the Internet says I have.

4. Sometimes I am guilty of being one of the buggy people Courtney secretly curses. :-)

5. I drink on the average 3 to 4 Diet Cokes a day - even if it does cause cancer in lab rats, I can't not have it! Being a Diet Coke-a-holic is better than being an alcoholic.

6. I'm an English teacher, but there are so many classics I haven't read. Anytime my colleagues get in a discussion about Jane Austen or Charlotte Bronte, I just say "mmm hmmm" and nod.

7. I hate laundry. I will wash and dry clothes, but we may live out of the clean clothes basket for a week before I am motivated enough to put them up.

8. One of my favorite things to do is to spend time with my children individually. With twins, they are usually always together with me. It is a treat to go to the grocery store or run errands with just one. I seriously look forward to going to the store if I know I'm only going to have one of my children. Not that I don't enjoy both of them, but one on one time is nice!
