So how is the transition into Tyler????? Well, Scott started his job, took his written board exam a couple of weeks later, then we had a vacation last week. Despite being on the go, we have met some great people. We have great neighbors and our kids have been enjoying "neighborhood life". We were blessed to find a set of 5 y/0 twins (boy/girl) with a 3 y/o little sister who live in our cul-de-sac. They play and bounce between houses all the time. The twins are going into kindergarten and the little girl will be in Mary Ella's class this year. Their parents are wonderful, inviting us to church and other social events. Of course we have also enjoyed being close to Laurie and Wayne Murphy, fellow UTMB residency alums. Laurie has been such a great source of support for this transition. Hannah...I didn't get your email (may have erased it b/c I didn't recognize the name...so scared of SPAM.) Please email me again! I'd love to meet you too!
Molly has kept us busy. Since June, she has gotten four teeth, crawled, stood, and is now beginning to cruise a little. I caught her climbing the stairs yesterday....time for a gate! Addy continues to be our entertainer. She loves nothing more than engaging in silly antics while eliciting a belly laugh from one or both of her sisters. She has also begun to really enjoy books. The past couple of nights I've gone upstairs to find her sitting and looking at books in the playroom (yes, she was supposed to be in bed).
As I mentioned before, Mary Ella is so excited about beginning Kindergarten and, honestly, I've gone all summer thinking this would be "no big deal" and "what is all the fuss about?" Well, tonight there is a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes and so on...We sat and read a devotion and the My Kindergarten book in her bed and before I knew it, Addy hopped into bed with the brag book of Mary Ella's birth pictures (need I say more????). Addy kept insisting the pictures were of Molly and Mary Ella would giggle saying in such a grown up way, "No Addy, that was me when I was a baby." GULP! OK, I won't go on and on. It would only result in emotional torture :). Mary Ella, this is YOUR time to shine sweet girl. We love you very much!
By the way, she has to be there by 7:45am.....ok veterans, I might need some pointers on this one :).
